February 28, 6:15-7:30 pm
Mothers and friends are invited!
This will be a super fun night! Girls will enjoy meeting missionary Amber Jameson. Here's a fun fact: Amber was a GA her whole childhood and went to GA Camp at Riverbend each summer. Amber always wanted to be a teacher, but God worked it out so that after teaching for almost 10 years, she if getting to serve an orphanage and school in the bush in a Nigeria now. She will show pictures that show what she means when she says she lives in the "bush."
Amber on Mission
Amber first visited A Place of Hope Africa Orphan and Child Rescue in Nsukka, Nigeria in June 2013 and immediately knew that there was something special that would always be pulling her back. From 2013 to 2022 she taught elementary school in Fort Worth, Texas, but continued to use each summer vacation to serve at A Place of Hope. Amber knew from early on that God was calling her to bring greater education to the children of A Place of Hope. She received her Masters in International Studies from Dallas Baptist University in 2020 in order to be the most effective in Nigeria. In August 2022 she followed God's calling to move full time to Nigeria in order to provide full time assistance to A Place of Hope Africa, Cornerstone Christian Academy, and to begin adult English classes for the village.
